Using data to support increased budgets for immunization in Georgia (Grace Chee, Vladimer Getia, Natia Gulua)

Grace Chee ( is a health economist with over 20 years of experience in health systems strengthening, health financing, costing analysis, and evaluation of global health programs. She leads the team from Results for Development (@Results4Dev) that coordinates the Learning Network for Countries in Transition (@Gavi_LNCT), which brings countries transitioning away from Gavi support together with peers and technical experts to address challenges that could impede a successful transition.

Vladimer Getia ( is the Head of State Health Programme Department at the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health Georgia (@NCDCGeorgia). His work at the various government agencies includes the planning and implementation, procurement and funding of health programs. He leads the administration and current roll-out of the immunization electronic system, and he is responsible for vaccine supply in country with the support of UNICEF.

Natia Gulua (@nati_gulu) is the Deputy Head of Budget Department at the Ministry of Finance of Georgia (@mofgeorgia). Previously, she was head of Financial and Budget division at the Ministry of Labour, Health, and Social Affairs in Georgia. She holds a Master’s degree on organization and management of foreign economic affairs from Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University.
