2017 Community of Practice Survey

Dear Immunization Economics Community of Practice,

In this opportunity, three projects funded by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation are teaming up to learn more about your current work and future needs in the area of immunization economics: value, costing, financing, and efficiency.

The EPIC Immunization Costing project is developing a landscape to document projects in the field, which will be used as a basis to connect experts within the community of practice to jointly add greater value to the global movement to increase the understanding and use of evidence in the field of immunization economics. Further, this project will also develop an complete methodological resource guide for the design, analysis, and interpretation of immunization economics data.

The Value of Vaccine Research network (VoVRN) is a community of practice dedicated to generating new, high-quality evidence on the broader social and economic impacts of vaccination (BSEIV). In addition to cultivating a network of stakeholders interested in BSEIV research to connect and exchange ideas through Immunization Economics website and newsletter, VoVRN will sponsor novel research projects that focus on the pathways, models, estimates, and data needed to expand and strengthen the quality of BSEIV evidence.

The Immunization Costing Action Network (ICAN) aims to increase the visibility, availability, understanding, and use of evidence on the cost of delivering immunization services. The network is building country capacity around generation, interpretation, and use of cost evidence to work towards sustainable and predictable financing for vaccine delivery. The network is also conducting a systematic review on the non-vaccine delivery costs of immunization programs in low- and middle-income countries. The products developed from the systematic review will include an Excel-based repository of standardized unit cost data and benchmark estimates of unit costs across a variety of contexts..

Your participation in this survey is crucial in helping us develop the evidence and resources to further the field of Immunization Economics. This survey should take around 20 minutes to complete. All resources will be made publicly available through immunizationeconomics.org. Thank you very much for your support.

Best regards,
The EPIC, VoVRN, and ICAN collaborative
