Testing Benefit-Cost Analysis Methods

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is supporting the development of benefit-cost analysis reference case guidance in global health and development, to increase and improve the use of such analyses and increase their comparability. The project team has posted a series of methods papers here for your review and welcomes your comments. Comments can be submitted via email to bcaguidelines@hsph.harvard.edu or directly to the authors; if you prefer to submit your comments anonymously, please use the online form. The next steps involve incorporating the recommendations from the papers into the draft guidance, including any needed changes, and your feedback would be greatly appreciated.

To support this effort, the project team is soliciting case studies that test and demonstrate the application of the recommendations in the methods papers, focusing on immunization and other policies implemented in low- and middle-income countries. The case studies will be used to illustrate and refine the recommendations; selected case studies will be featured on the project website. If you are interested in submitting your case study for consideration, please review the requirements posted here. Completed case studies must be received no later thanMay 31, 2018. Questions?
