Call for financial protection training-of-trainers workshop

WHO's Department of Health Systems Governance and Financing is looking to develop a pool of experts that can be more readily called upon to help respond to country needs for technical support on monitoring financial protection, and to also support WHO’s analytical work on monitoring financial protection.

The WHO is looking for individuals with previous experience in analyzing household expenditure survey data and fundamental skills in and access to Stata software. Participants should have the capacity to undertake such analysis and to interpret the data. Additionally, experience in monitoring and evaluation work and using or applying data in financing policy dialogue or policy analyses are desirable. Participants should be proficient in English and ideally also possess intermediate-level skills to converse in another UN language (e.g. French, Spanish).

Applications to be a part of the pool of selected trainers should be sent to WHO by 22 June. Please send an email directly to uhc_stats@who.int with the subject of ‘Financial protection training-of-trainers’. Please include a CV and a short cover email including a statement regarding the expected daily rates for consultancy. Selection criteria will include relevant experience and demonstrated skills, as noted above. Applicant language skills, availability to facilitate training workshops in a timely manner, and competitive consultancy rates will also be considered. The final pool of selected trainers will be formally trained through a training-of-trainers workshop to be held in Geneva the week of 27 August. This training will be held in English with no translation.
