Save the date: July 13-14 meeting in Basel, Switzerland

As part of the 2019 iHEA biennial world congress in Basel, Switzerland, the Immunization Economics Special Interest Group (SIG) will organize a pre-congress session on July 13-14. The intended audience for this session is individuals interested in the generation and use of information surrounding immunization costing, financing, and value of vaccination. Audience span from early career to seasoned researchers, EPI managers, policymakers, multinational organizations, and donors. Program includes:

  1. featured updates on research findings, methodology, and cases;

  2. concurrent sessions on economic analysis refresher course and implementation/advocacy workshop;

  3. panel sessions on effective dissemination and future direction.

Registration to the pre-congress session is open and free for the public, and includes two full day of activity, meeting materials, lunch, and coffee breaks. Participants are to arrange and pay their own travel and hotel reservations.

POSTER PRESENTATION AND FUNDING SUPPORT

Community members are invited to present a poster presentation, selected presenters are included in the pre-congress guest list, and there is no charge in participating.

Submission form for presentation will be due on March 29, 2019. The form includes general info, resume, 100-word research statement, 100-word methodology detail, and a 300-word abstract. One person (presenter) can only submit one abstract. No multiple submissions allowed.

Abstracts, research statements, and methodology details will be blindly judged by a panel of experts from international institutions. Resume will be reviewed in the event of a tie. Five submissions will receive $2500 towards travel and accommodation costs to Basel.

*individuals whose level of experience post-bachelors degree is below the median of all submissions

At the event, there will be an award ceremony for 5 high-scoring posters, 3 best communication and design posters, and 2 audience favorite posters
