The Aga Khan University in Karachi, Pakistan will offer a four-day workshop from 2 - 5 April 2018. The workshop will cover the following modules:
- Costing of Vaccine programs for CMYPs
- Economics of Systems, Logistics, and Operations
At the end of the workshop the participants will be able to:
- Understand how to cost immunization services and programs
- Manage price dynamics and country demand needs for vaccine supply & logistic chains
- Apply modeling tools to optimize cost implications affecting supply, logistic systems
The program fee for local participants is PKR 30,000 and international is USD 300 inclusive of course fee, training material, AACME credits and workshop refreshments.
Funding is provided for Pakistan and Afghanistan government applicants working in immunization programs or in relevant government line departments. This covers tuition, training material, AACME credits, travel and accommodation.

Delhi, India – April 12-13, 2018
The Indian Institute of Hospital Management Research will offer a two-day workshop from 12-13 April 2018 in Delhi, India. The workshop will cover Introduction to Economic Evaluation for Decision-Making in Vaccine Programs
This program will cover the following content:
- Introduction to Vaccine Economics
- Introduction to Economic Evaluation
- Costing Vaccine Programs
- Measuring and Valuing Health Outcomes
- Reporting and Interpreting Results of an Economic Evaluation
- Introduction to Decision Tree Modelling
The program fee will be USD 312 plus GST (18% as applicable) for foreign participants and INR 14,000 plus GST (18% as applicable) for Indian participants, to cover participation in training, training materials, accommodation (on twin-sharing basis) and food. There are a limited number of scholarships available to participants to cover the cost of participation, travel, accommodation, and per diem. Priority for the scholarship is for applicants who work with vaccine and immunization programs in EPI programs in GAVI eligible countries.

Johannesburg, South Africa – April 19-21 and 23-25, 2018
Two workshops will be offered in April at the Wits School of Public Health in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The first workshop will cover the Introduction to Economic Evaluation for Decision-Making in Health from April 19-21, 2018. The second workshop from April 23-25 2018, will build on the first workshop and cover advanced topics in decision analytical modelling for economic evaluation.
The program fee will be ZAR 3,500 per participant. There are a limited number of scholarships available to participants to cover the cost of participation, travel, accommodation, and per diem. Priority will be given to applicants who work in EPI programs, National Immunization Technical Advisory Groups (NITAG) and partners from GAVI-eligible countries. Funded participants would ideally be familiar with the basic use of Microsoft Excel and have some experience working on planning, managing or budgeting for vaccine and immunization programs.
