Immunization Delivery Cost Catalogue (2019)

Home > Immunization Delivery Cost Catalogue (2019)

The Immunization Delivery Cost Catalogue (IDCC) was built to answer a question frequently asked by national and global immunization stakeholders: “What are the unit costs of vaccine delivery across different low- and middle-income country (LMICs) and through a variety of delivery strategies?”

In January 2017, April 2018 and December 2019, ThinkWell completed a systematic review of the current evidence base on immunization delivery costs (IDC)[1]. Over 17,000 resources from January 2005 to March 2019 were reviewing including published and grey literature. Data from 68 articles and grey literature reports were extracted.

We developed the following tools and products from the systematic review:

  • Standardized and richly annotated Excel-based and web-based cost catalogues from the data extracted in Excel, featuring over 600 unit costs presented in 2016 US$

  • A set of nine immunization delivery cost ranges

  • Companion interpretive products (methodology note, summary report, and videos)
