A doctoral-level researcher position is available at the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, South Korea, with a two-year contract. The successful candidate will conduct projects on the global burden and impact of vaccines for cholera and typhoid fever using mathematical and statistical models. The tasks will involve identifying information on the diseases and the vaccines, and developing strategies to model the burden and impact of vaccines.

The selected applicant will also prepare manuscripts, help write grant proposals, and generate independent research questions. Our research team is a member of the Vaccine Impact Modelling Consortium based in Imperial College London, comprising over 40 disease modeling experts in the world. This project will involve interacting with fellow modelers and also global funding agencies such as Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
