The COVAX Facility released today the application and guidance documents (“application package”) for eligible economies to (i) confirm participation in the COVAX Facility and (ii) request support as part of COVAX. This comprises COVID-19 vaccines, as well as Cold Chain Equipment and Technical Assistance needed to prepare for the delivery of COVID-19 vaccines.
All 92 AMC Eligible Economies are welcome to apply for participation in COVAX. An overview of the process is outlined in the COVAX AMC Application Guidance, from confirming participation in the COVAX Facility to vaccines arrival in-country.
As part of the governing structure of the COVAX Facility, the AMC Engagement Group will meet for the first time on Thursday 19 November 2020. The meeting will be an important opportunity for participating economies to discuss the portfolio, delivery preparedness for the COVID-19 vaccines, and decide on key aspects of the group governance.
