A doctoral-level researcher position is available at the International Vaccine Institute based, for two years, in Seoul, South Korea. The successful candidate will conduct projects studying the global burden of cholera and typhoid fever (morbidity and mortality) and the impact of vaccines in reducing the burden using mathematical and statistical models. Our research team works as a member of the Vaccine Impact Modelling Consortium based in Imperial College London, which comprises over 40 disease modeling experts in the world.
The project will involve interacting with fellow modelers and global funding agencies such as Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. Ideal candidates will have a Ph.D. (or master’s degree with substantial experience) in statistics, epidemiology, applied mathematics, health economics, or other highly quantitative fields.
