The Global Immunization Division, Center for Global Health, U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, is seeking an economist for the Economics Unit.

The position-holder will perform a broad range of economic studies to inform CDC and partner investments in global immunization that are aligned with the CDC Global Immunization Strategic Framework 2021-2030 and the Immunization Agenda 2030.
Job duties include:

Designing and implementing economic evaluations (e.g., cost analysis, cost-effectiveness analysis, cost-benefit analysis) of global immunization interventions and vaccine-preventable diseases

Providing technical assistance and serving as an advisor and subject matter expert on economics research related to global immunization programs and vaccine-preventable diseases

Preparing and disseminating reports, manuscripts, and presentations of economic studies of global immunization programs and vaccine-preventable diseases to diverse audiences
Candidates should have experience conducting applied economic evaluations of public health interventions, preferably in low- and middle-income country settings, and knowledge of economic theory and methods. Candidates must meet requirements and qualifications specified in the USAJOBS opportunity announcement.
