The Croucher Foundation are holding a course on Vaccinology for Public Health and Clinical Practice in the 21st Century in Hong Kong from July 24-28, 2023, featuring speakers from the University of Hong Kong, London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and NIH/Fogarty International Center.
This course is designed to provide graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and other early-stage scientists an overview of the basic concepts in vaccinology. Participants will learn about the immunological and epidemiological principles of vaccination, vaccine development, how to measure vaccine efficacy or effectiveness, and how vaccination influences disease transmission and herd immunity. The course includes discussion of basic health economic evaluation of vaccination and vaccine hesitancy, and will be taught in English.
The deadline to apply is May 19, 2023, and there are scholarships available for participants whose poster abstracts are accepted for presentation in the poster session.
