WHO is seeking to engage a technical officer to coordinate documentation of Ghana’s National Immunization Strategy (NIS) using WHO NIS guidelines. The duration of this consultancy is from August 2 to September 30, 2023 and is based in Ghana. Apply by July 27, 2023.

Tasks/roles
In close collaboration with technical officers in WHO and under the guidance of the WHO Country representative, the consultant will support the Ministry of Health and Ghana Health Service in the following:

Lead the development of the country’s NIS

Coordinate inputs of stakeholders and technical working groups for the various thematic areas

Draft, review, and finalize the NIS policy document

Lead dissemination and budget dialogue with stakeholder
Required qualification and skills
-
A university degree in public health, planning, administration, or related field

At least 10 years’ experience working in the public health sector with good understanding of Ghana’s immunization program and development of strategic documents

Familiarity with development/review of health service delivery policies/guidelines

Experience working within the Ghana Health System and the UN System
