The International Health Economics Association (IHEA) World Congress is the most important global forum for health economists. The next Congress will be held July 19–23, 2025 in Bali, Indonesia.
Since 2019, the Immunization Economics Special Interest Group at IHEA has organized a pre-congress to bring together our community of practice to discuss research findings, methodological advancements, implications for immunization policy and practice, and use of evidence relevant to support immunization programs in low- and middle-income countries.
In 2023, we convened over 150 participants (making it the largest IHEA Pre-Congress ever) from 42 countries and 81 organizations.
We want to build on the tremendous success of our last meetings and bring our members together in Bali in 2025. But we can’t do this alone. We need to work as a community to pool contributions and resources to make this happen.
Therefore, we would like to invite all project leaders, donors, private sector colleagues, and researchers to reach out to us for ideas to fund the Immunization Economics IHEA Pre-Congress.

What do you get in return?
We welcome a wide range of topics, including cost of illness of vaccine-preventable disease, efficiencies, sustainability, immunization financing and donor transitions, evidence to policy, value of vaccines, priority setting, costing, integration, equity and zero-dose, policy, and advocacy. Sessions can take the form of presentations, discussions, interactive workshops, or posters. For a flavor of our last meeting in 2023, have a look here.
Please reach out to us at immunizationeconomics@thinkwell.global to express your interest as soon as possible before December 13.
We look forward to hearing from you!
