Note from the Center for Global Development on opportunities for a New Compact between Gavi and partner countries

Home > Note from the Center for Global Development on opportunities for a New Compact between Gavi and partner countries

The Center for Global Development has released a note authored by Anastassia Demeshko and Tom Drake outlining a proposal for a New Compact between Gavi and partner countries and detailing the challenges faced as countries continue to recover from the pandemic and respond to an evolving global landscape.

The New Compact would prioritize country delivery and financing of the highest priority vaccination programs as determined through a country led evidence-informed prioritization process. Additionally, Gavi would provide tailored technical assistance to ensure high coverage and quality and adapt pooled procurement platforms to sustain value for money and consistency of supply.
