SCOPE OF WORK

The scope of work and deliverables for the consultancy based on the objectives to be accomplished are as follows:

Objective 1: Completion of Phase A Economic Sector Works Papers in 2024

Activities:

  • Lead the concept development, stakeholder engagement, data collection, analysis, writing and revision of Nutrition-themed Economic Sector Work Papers for the AfDB for up to three countries as proposed for Nigeria, Tanzania, Senegal, or other priorities countries if required.

Objective 2: Technical support for the Country Case Studies or Regional-thematic best practices papers.

Activities:

  • Provide some limited technical support/advisory services on the Case Support (Advocacy) Work Package
  • Provide technical support to the advocacy team to develop country or regional case studies/thematic best practice papers.
  • Provide technical analytical support in the areas of economic analysis and nutrition financing to the project as needed.

TIMELINE

This consultancy will be for an initial period of up to 120 days for Phase A of work, covering deliverables due between July 2024 and January 2025. Contingent on performance and funding availability, the position may be further renewed for delivery of Phase B activities.

STATION / LOCATION

The consultant can be based in Abuja, Nigeria; Dakar, Senegal; Dar es Salaam or Dodoma City, Tanzania; Nairobi, Kenya or Abidjan in Côte d’Ivoire, other remote location in Africa if necessary.
