A new review published in Human Vaccines and Immunotherapeutics highlights the complexity of HPV vaccination in Africa, showing a need to adopt a complexity lens when designing interventions for strengthening HPV vaccination to appropriately tackle emergent systems behaviors in the interaction between multiple implementation determinants. Several implementation determinants were identified across the five domains of the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research, including the availability of operational funds for HPV vaccine delivery and the allocation of funds for outreach activities.
