Program Officer, Statistical Analysis & Modeling, Discovery & Tools, 9-month LTE at the Gates Foundation

The Program Officer (PO), Statistical Analysis & Modeling (9-month LTE) plays a critical role in translating data to strategic insights aimed at accelerating MNCNH impact in Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs). Reporting to the Deputy Director, Epidemiology, Surveillance & Data, the PO will conduct data analyses, build and run impact and cost-effectiveness models, synthesize data, and curate analytic outputs for visualization and distillation of insights for strategic use and dissemination to internal and external stakeholders. The PO will partner with technical stakeholders across a range of disciplines to optimize analysis and modeling plans.

The PO will be responsible for operationalization of data science workflows and processes, including data cleaning, harmonization, and project management of data analysis/modeling pipelines. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and communication skills, curiosity about the intersection of data and strategy in global health philanthropy, and a collaborative working style.

Health economist at AHADI

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Can perform statistical analysis and writes software code (in R and/or Stata) to manage, visualize, analyze, and model a variety of cost and economic data types
  • Identifies and applies appropriate quantitative and statistical methods for the problem at hand
  • Liaises between public health partners, financing partners, and analysis partners
  • Prepares reports and presentations to effectively communicate methods and findings to stakeholders, including ministries of health and other partners
  • Trains, supervises, and collaborates with partner individuals and institutions to support upskilling of local public health analytics talent
