Associate Professor Natalie Carvalho is Head of the Economics of Global Health and Infectious Diseases Unit in the Centre for Health Policy, Melbourne School of Population and Global Health (MSPGH), University of Melbourne. Her work focuses on methodological advancements for, and application of, economic evaluation as one input for equitable and efficient decision-making on new interventions, with a particular focus on vaccines and other interventions targeting communicable and neglected tropical diseases. She coordinates the Health Economics & Economic Evaluation Specialisation within the Master of Public Health (MPH) at MSPGH and teaches Introduction to Economic Evaluation. She convenes a Special Interest Group on the Economics of Infectious Diseases through the Australian Health Economics Society.
