UNICEF works in the world’s most challenging places to reach the most disadvantaged children and adolescents – and protect every child’s rights, everywhere. Across more than 190 countries and territories, UNICEF does whatever it takes to help children survive, thrive, and fulfill their potential from early childhood through adolescence.
UNICEF’s immunization economics team draws expertise from both the Programme Group (HQ in New York) and the Supply Division (HQ in Copenhagen), and provides technical support to UNICEF’s engagement in immunization across more than 130 country programmes, together with government, NGOs, other UN agencies, international organizations, and the private sector. With the support of key partners US-CDC, and the Gavi Alliance, UNICEF contributes to the global immunization community through studies, evaluations and direct technical support to immunization programs, primarily related to cost analysis, national planning and costing, political economy analysis, public financial management, and sustainable immunization financing and transition.

For many years, the Immunization Economics Community of Practice has supported researchers, policymakers, and practitioners around the world to use economic evidence to make better immunization decisions so that limited resources can save more lives.
Our work has been generously supported by the Gates Foundation and Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, but our current funding ends this year. We are now seeking donations to help us bridge this transition and keep the community alive.
