The Immunization Agenda 2030 (IA2030) documents set an ambitious, overarching global vision and strategy for vaccines and immunization for the decade 2021–2030. It draws on lessons learned, acknowledges continuing and new challenges posed by infectious diseases, and capitalizes on new opportunities to meet those challenges.
Topics discussed in the released documents include:
IA2030 Vision and Strategy in all six UN languages
Strategic Priority technical annexes (translation available shortly)
Core Principle annexes (translation available shortly)
IA2030 Framework for Action
Other IA2030 annexes and companion documents
This document is, therefore, just the beginning. The IA2030 global vision and strategy will be complemented by annexes providing detailed technical information on the strategic framework, together with new and existing strategies and immunization plans, including those for disease-specific programs to control, eliminate or eradicate the disease. A key effort is also underway to prepare for the IA2030 launch planned to occur in the run-up to World Immunization Week in April and World Health Assembly in May.
