The Global Vaccine and Immunization Research Forum (GVIRF) is the central discussion platform of all research and innovation aspects related to the Immunization Agenda 2030 (IA2030). GVIRF is is co-hosted by the WHO, the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and gathers together leading experts from public health, academia, government, civil society, and private sector and serves as a forum to do the following:

  • Track progress and discuss obstacles related to priority vaccine research and development (R&D);
  • Identify gaps, opportunities and actions for the R&D community in the areas of vaccines and immunization;
  • Create opportunities for networking and collaboration among the vaccine R&D and immunization communities; and
  • Review progress made towards the IA2030 R&D strategic objectives and goals

The next Global Vaccine and Immunization Research Forum (GVIRF) will be held on 25-27
March 2025, in Rio de Janeiro, Republic of Brazil. Abstract submissions are invited for the GVIRF 2025 poster session. Topics can include any aspect of basic or applied vaccine and immunization research, but topics related to the session agenda are especially welcome (please see the attached draft agenda). The abstract submission deadline is November 22, 2024, at 11:59 PM EST (UTC-05:00).
