A review of 51 National Immunization Strategy (NIS) documents from low- and middle- income countries has been conducted and presented at SAGE in March 2025. It showed that countries are setting specific targets to reach IA2030 goals, that linkages to primary health care have been strengthened and that NISs are increasingly being used to demonstrate country ownership and for resource mobilization. The NIS is an opportunity also to strengthen country data use for monitoring program performance, implementing action cycles for program improvement, and increasing accountability.
