NAGI TB Vaccine Modelling Lead (South Africa)

Genesis Analytics is recruiting a Senior Associate to support the South African National Advisory Group on Immunisation (NAGI) in developing model-based recommendations for TB vaccine introduction.

Based in South Africa, this role will act as a technical bridge between modelling experts and policy decision-makers, supporting the use of epidemiological and economic evidence in national vaccine policy. The position sits within Genesis’ Health Practice, which focuses on strengthening sustainable, country-owned health systems across Africa and other regions with young populations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate engagement between NAGI, National Department of Health (NDoH), and partners
• Support adaptation of TB transmission models and conduct scenario analyses
• Develop model-based recommendation dossiers and investment cases for National Treasury
• Contribute to peer-reviewed research and global scientific dissemination
• Provide technical support on vaccine policy, communication, and platform development

Candidate profile

• Advanced degree (Masters/PhD) in public health, modelling, health economics, or related fields
• Experience in infectious disease modelling, vaccine policy, or immunization programmes
• Strong analytical skills, including epidemiological and cost data analysis
• Excellent writing and communication skills for technical and policy audiences
• Ability to work across government and partner environments
